DukeUndergraduate Admissions

Duke University's Pratt School of Engineering Open House

The Pratt School of Engineering not only provides a rigorous academic experience—one that prepares our graduates to go on to be Rhodes Scholars, physicians, corporate leaders, entrepreneurs, and premier engineering professionals—but also incredible opportunities to roll up your sleeves and participate in leading-edge research and impactful service opportunities that address the world’s greatest challenges. More than 90% of our undergraduates have an intensive research experience or an internship, and a third of our students study abroad. Our extracurricular groups range from the Robotics Club and Duke Electric Vehicles to Engineering World Health and Duke Engineers for International Development. Many students enrich their studies by becoming a Pratt Research Fellow or National Academy of Engineering Grand Challenge Scholar. Our commitment to hands-on education gives our students practical experience that prepares them to make a real difference.

The Fine Print
The Engineering Open House will allow you to learn about academic options within Pratt, as well as opportunities our engineering students have to pursue interests within the Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. If you think engineering may be right for you, we encourage you to attend in order to learn more. While attending may help you decide if Duke is a good fit for you, we do not track demonstrated interest in our admissions process. Therefore, attending or not attending the open house will not positively or negatively influence our admissions decision.
